Hunter Wise Financial Group LLC Managing Director Daniel McClory Addresses Industry Summit on PIPEs

IRVINE, California February 4, 2008 - Hunter Wise Financial Group, LLC Managing Director Daniel J. McClory presented an address on "Offshore PIPE Trends" at the 7th Annual Summit on PIPEs (Private Investments in Public Equity) at the Affinia Manhattan Hotel in New York on January 30, 2008.
Commenting on the strength of non-U.S. or offshore transactions in 2007, Mr. McClory told the conference of industry leaders that London.s foreign IPOs totaled 86, valued at $29 billion, while New York.s foreign IPOs totaled 41 for $14 billion, with Chinese IPOs in the U.S. numbered 24 for a value of $5.8 billion. "The globalization of the world's financial markets is evident," Mr. McClory said, and one in which Hunter Wise has significant experience and expertise.
"Another key trend is for Chinese companies to seek financing in the U.S, especially with an Over the Counter Bulletin Board listing," Mr. McClory said, pointing out that such companies raised some $2 billion in PIPE financings in 2007. Mr. McClory also explained to the PIPEs Summit what drives successful transactions and how Hunter Wise works to meet issuers' and investors' objectives. "There will be a flight to quality in 2008," Hunter Wise's Managing Director said, "but we also expect a significant increase in the size of each funding or the quantity of investment in a given transaction."
Mr. McClory has for the past decade provided U.S.-European-Chinese corporate finance and advisory services. For the last four years he has served as a Managing Director for Hunter Wise Financial Group, LLC, in Irvine, California, which provides mid-market investment banking services from offices in the U.S., the United Kingdom, China and Canada. Mr. McClory leads the Hunter Wise Small Cap Equities practice, which has assisted more than 50 American, Chinese and European companies in finding growth capital through the public markets, and acting on merger and acquisition opportunities. He is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University where he earned a BS in English and an MA in Language and International Trade. He serves as a Member of the Corporate Finance Faculty for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
