Ling Plancon
Ling Plancon serves as Hunter Wise Financial Group's Senior Vice President for China and is based in Beijing. Since 2001 she has served as Chief Representative of the Beijing office of Pearson-Ellis, a Chinese educational subsidiary of NYSE-listed $12 billion Pearson plc, an international media company headquartered in the UK. Ms. Plancon has also worked as a consultant for investment firms in China over the past several years, including, among other transactions, helping arrange Tiger Global's pre-IPO investment in New Oriental Education and Technology Group Inc., now the largest provider of private educational services in China, and a $2.8 billion NYSE-listed company. From 2000 to 2001 she was the Senior Trade Representative of the State of Utah's China Trade Office. From 1997-2000 Ms. Plancon was a Director of Billings International, Inc., a Chicago-based China-America business consulting firm. Ms. Plancon served from 1991-1997 as General Manager of Sunstar Technologies, Inc. in Chicago. From 1986-1990 she was the Chief Representative of the Beijing Office of New York-based Evergreen Enterprises, Inc. She began her career in 1985 with the Beijing International Trade Promotion Association after earning a BA degree in English Literature and International Trade from China's Yunnan University in Kunming.
