Bryan E. Berent, CBI
Mr. Berent brings over 20 years of expertise to business clients. He has deep experience in analyzing the financial, operational and investment structures of businesses operating in both local and global economies. Mr. Berent was a co-founder of Blue River Financial Group, an investment banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions for middle market companies. He has assisted clients in numerous industries including retail, service, banking, healthcare, distribution, construction, automotive and has significant experience in manufacturing and information technology. He is an expert in assisting clients in both acquisition strategies including complex financial, integration and deal structure analysis, and divestiture strategies including confidential placement and targeted negotiation. Mr. Berent also is well known for assisting clients in developing innovative and executable strategies and plans to accelerate growth and value of their organizations.
Prior to embarking into the mergers and acquisitions arena, Mr. Berent held executive strategic positions with IBM where he had global responsibility for identification and development of global alliances and strategic solutions for IBM's Mid-Market Services Unit. He has built and led numerous consulting businesses within IBM. Prior to IBM, Mr. Berent led the Detroit Area Management Consulting Practice of Price Waterhouse.
Mr. Berent holds an MBA, with honors, in Corporate Finance and Corporate Strategy from the University of Michigan and a BGS in Accounting and Statistics also from the University of Michigan. He has also earned the prestigious Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation from the International Business Brokers Association.
Mr. Berent is an active member of the International Business Brokers Association, M & A Source, and Association of Corporate Growth.
